I decided to wait until I actually have the money to buy the cars I wanted as a teenager… and now that I have the m9ney, those cars either no longer exist or have been ruined to the point where the spirit of the car that I loved is no longer there. So now I continue to drive my old ass civic and my wife gets a new car every few years instead, while I wait to be further disappointed.

You know you can buy literally the cars you wanted as a teenager right?

Staying on the BMW thread, you can get a mint E46 or E9X M3 for a fraction of the cost of the new ones. Just gotta find one where the owner has taken care of it and kept service records.

Obviously, but the hope was to buy the car new one day. If I were to buy a used car, it’d be a different type of car entirely that I’d be buying - ie a viper or older NSX instead of a new STi. The e63 wagon is ugly AF and I wouldn’t trust any used E55. If we have another kid, I’m buying a minivan though and there isn’t anything my wife can do to stop me!
