They aren’t a substitute for proper water supply, but activated charcoal filters connect with contaminents including lead. I still would not drink it though. And you’d probably need a new filter every day LOL

I found Aikido was good. Focus on defense, and no attacking. Lots of exercise and meditation. I would come home exhausted and sleep like a baby. And actually came in handy twice.
I think the going thing is don’t use distilled water in coffee

Do you live on the border to Quebec? Otherwise French is a rarity in Canada even though things are labeled in both languages. If you are in the USA, Spanish would seem the more useful language, in my opinion.
The most common languages I hear in Canada (nearer the 49th parallel), other than English are Hindi, Punjabi, and Mandarin

1·7 months agoYeah, I should mention we bought them because my wife liked them. Too me they were too meaty tasting. I prefer a good black bean burger, or some spiced Indian lentil patty

Well sometimes stuff gets trapped in behind the door seal, and mold will grow etc. You could harbour bacteria in the door seal. It needs a sanitize cycle and a good wipe around the seals … Probably needs that anyway, mist people don’t bother until the dishwasher starts smelling must after it has finishes a wash and dry
Just a glitch in the matrix

5·7 months agoWhen you say hibernate do you mean sleep, because my understanding was proper hibernate writes the image to disk of the memory, and reads that back in on next boot. PC is totally off during proper hibernate

Ugh. That’s how it always goes. I was going to replace some 1950s cabinets. The floor around them had tiles, but once I pulled the cabinets you could see they tiled over two layers of vinyl/linoleum. Pull the floor out, had to remove a pipe to get some floor out, the inside of pipe was so clogged with rust and grease that the 1.5" hole was about 3/8" diameter. Pull all the galvanized pipes out, they were laying on the wiring for support. ??? Open the wall to move wiring, no insulation in the walls. Anyway 3 months later a cabinet change was a full down to the studs and subfloor kitchen reno
Well China does have the benefit of just ordering the work to be done and funded by the government, rather than a random contractor dropping the ball over cost overruns or not quoting the next stage because they fear losing money. For example Rogers committed to building cell towers through the coastal mountains or rockies to ensure service on those transit routes, BC agreed to contribute a large amount to help. Rogers starts then cancels it all saying land acquisition or development is going to cost to much for the towers. Whereas if it were a government project it would just get done regardless of extra costs, and profit isn’t a factor.

Two of my favourites, Linux and Bread. We need a Bread centric distro.
