Some friends and I managed to attend a live showing of The Room at a local theater, complete with a Greg Sestero cameo! He’s a cool dude, and the experience of watching The Room in a theater with other fans was unmatched. Throwing spoons, “hi Denny” , and “because you’re a woman!” Are some of the things people do or say during the movie.

I can sort my subscribed page by top 12 hours and only use Lemmy once or twice a day. Helps with controlling doom scrolling.

Other than that, there’s better human interaction here. I’ve started recognizing names and pfps which is pretty cool too. Some of y’all seem rad.

This is where I’m at: a Synology running a few services like Plex for my family and friends. I’m hoping to learn more and help us all move from walled gardens even further. Some of Synology’s software can feel a little clunky to use but generally I’ve found it to work great despite my limited knowledge.
