The problem is not the internet itself. If you started a new internet protocol, you’d still be controlled by the same laws

We’re so fucked and people don’t even realize that.

9·5 months agoThat’s exactly why we need to stop this law ASAP. It’s dangerous and anti-democratic. Who cares if some kids see some titties on the web? Seriously…

5·5 months agoAlso, most of the websites are made with WordPress, which… take a guess, yes, it runs on PHP!
(even though WordPress is a bad example because it’s written in a horrible and ancient way)
The world desperately needs more Luigis.

There’s no good excuse not to use Linux in 2025 if you’re a home user. Except maybe if you rely on some software such as SharePoint, the Adobe or the Serif Affinity suites.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What technology will disappear in the next 10 years?
31·5 months agoThere’s simply no way to keep pensions. It’s like a big pyramid scheme where new people are putting the money and old people are enjoying them; the problem is that old people are growing and they’ve been living longer, and young people are less and less.

6·5 months agoI agree. I’m also very sad when I see small kids watching YouTube videos on tablets; that’s pretty much all they do.
Where’s the fun of tinkering? Trying to build things? Trying fixing problems, such as formatting?
Kids don’t even have the concept of files and folders. We’re raising a generation of digital slaves.

The only one (left) with a special condition is Denmark. All the other countries must adopt the euro once they reach some conditions (and then you have Sweden who doesn’t meet the conditions on purpose…).
