Many (most?) volunteer moderators are doing unpaid labor for a community they are invested in that happens to be hosted by capitalists because aggregation (and smart phones giving every normie constant access to the internet) killed forum culture.
It’s still the only major community hub for loads of hobbies and such. As an example: the Magic the Gathering community here has 1300 members and almost no activity.
The boundaries of the law exist to protect the status quo, which is why every important movement has been illegal.

So statistically, unless they are specifically looking at instances with automatic slur post filtering, this is the situation they will notice it in. They aren’t seeing the content differently, the removed is happening at the post so it’s the same experience for everybody.

Almost everything you said is why I prefer Morrowind and replay it more than any other Elder Scroll. I don’t like how hand-holdy and forgiving most modern games are.
The AI is obviously dated, some of the systems are underdeveloped, but stuff like the quest journal and athletic skills and how hard it is at the beginning if you aren’t careful or attentive are all major plusses for me. I want the weapon variety, I want the freedom to be anything but without the wishy-washy “you can be everything” style Skyrim has because they’re terrified of locking a player out of any content.
Yeah, it’s a more immersive and interesting world. I also prefer the quest journal over map markers, make you actually read and interpret shit instead of fast travelling to the nearest pip. You also can’t just be the boss of every faction, they have incompatible goals.
And it does say when you break a main quest so you can revert your save. Just don’t be a murderhobo.

The difference between “dialect” and “mutually intelligible language” is usually defined by convenience and politics and the Scots classification is not a settled matter, nor is it an important distinction outside of identity/pride.
The obvious examples are people typing in Scots or AAVE but that’s more just phonetic transcription of existing language.

We’ve been breaking treaties for as long as we’ve been a country, just ask the remnants of the native peoples. We’ve had brief, shining periods as a force for good or scientific achievement, but mostly it’s a big, racist shithole.
Every time we “do stuff” the mainstream media seizes the narrative and blocks popular support. The big thing from my region was CHAZ… a protest occupying ten city blocks for almost a month in response to police brutality. National media convinced the Right that we burned down Seattle, cops threw a fit and stopped doing their jobs, and if anything things are worse now for having tried.
We need enough general unrest that when things get violent, and they will, they can’t monopolize the narrative and send in the military. And even then I think the Right wins that war unless other countries are willing to help.

I don’t think there’s a solution that both clears out the far-right and leaves this country intact. (And in my opinion, it should probably be like five distinct countries)
We don’t “bleach” the eggs, we wash the outer membrane off along with dirt and feces to reduce salmonella contamination (and because poopy eggs are harder to market) which is also why they’re refrigerated. We can’t skip the washing process without first addressing the filthy conditions cheap commercial eggs are produced in and Big Ag is just one of many powerful interest groups that has had our government by the balls for decades (at least).

Most influential… it might be Castle Adventure on MSDOS or something like Alleyway on the Gameboy simply because they were the first games I remember playing. Or an old Mac program like Factory or Maelstrom or Power Pete with which I wiled away many hours. Quake III Arena and Unreal Tournament was the first time I messed around with modding and that computer literacy and problem solving certainly had an impact.
I didn’t go into any computer-related fields, I just really like video games and they’ve been both a solo hobby and social catalyst for my entire conscious life. Maybe Super Smash Bros Melee or Star Wars Battlefront 2 or Halo because the early 2000s cemented some of my longest friendships and those were at the forefront.
