1·1 year agothe buses in my area are physically pretty nice but they are infrequent and my friends and I have learned it is rare to be able to ride the bus without getting sexually harassed by a stranger on the bus

3·1 year agoYour currency is stored locally on your device and transferred directly to the merchant when transacting. The marchant software can also be selfhosted. It just has to communicate with with the centralized exchange for deposit into traditional bank accounts.

7·1 year agoIt seems sellers can host their own payment receipt service and the verfication comes from cryptographically signing the money when it’s issued from issuers
For the packet size and fils format issues, it seems like this language feature would be less reliable than bit shifting or masking, given that different implementations may store the bits in a different order or not compactly
In a world where a bigger memory chip is more expensive by only a few cents where this would be most useful, is this feature still relevant?

2·1 year agoDon’t be discouraged by the language learning. Most places you can find intensive classes that meet several times a week. It’s also a matter of studying and absorbing as much comprehensible input as possible. Surround yourself with the language like you’re a baby learning everything about the world anew, and you’ll be amazed at how quick you pick things up. Our brains are literally made to learn language, after all :P
