And nzb360
Also if anyone else wrote it, there would be so much savaging of weasel words.
They brag that they don’t retain this data, so when governments request historical data they don’t have it.
They don’t say that they don’t provide it for anyone else to retain, so if they are given the to and from to process the message, and provide this to the CIA to retain then all of this security would be useless but would also fulfill all of the claims here.
No.
We have been exploring techniques to further reduce the amount of information that is accessible to the service, and the latest beta release includes changes designed to move Signal incrementally closer to the goal of hiding another piece of metadata: who is messaging whom.
They haven’t hidden it yet. It’s a goal.
They are referring to message metadata.
Even if they don’t show the content of messages, if they can show that phone number A is sending messages and getting replies to number B then that’s all the government needs.
For the purpose of operating our Services, you agree to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy, as well as the transfer of your encrypted information and metadata to the United States and other countries where we have or use facilities, service providers or partners.
They store metadata, which is distinct from encrypted data.
Are you saying sealed sender is a lie?
https://signal.org/blog/sealed-sender/
When you send a traditional piece of physical mail, the outside of the package typically includes the address of both the sender and the recipient. The same basic components are present in a Signal message. The service can’t “see into” the encrypted package contents, but it uses the information written on the outside of the package to facilitate asynchronous message delivery between users.
They have a list of encrypted messages, who it’s from and who it’s to, based upon the sealed sender description. If you are using phone numbers then you are not anonymous, and a TLA agency can search known bad numbers even if Signal does not try to build that graph.
The difference between an asset and a moron is how much they are paid.
I don’t believe Russia is paying him, because he has never demonstrated restraint before.
Note how I didn’t reference any of those for ports.
I said that the small factor computer has more USB4 ports than any other, which the Mac Mini does. I also see people downvoted, but couldn’t provide a single alternative.
Apple customers are return customers, regardless of how badly they are treated.
Because Apple hardware is just better for certain use-cases. I can’t think of a single other manufacturer that would sell me a small form factor computer with 4 or 5 Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports. I would have to purchase a system and add a couple of PCIe cards.
Because of this, you get a halo effect.
Again?
I’m not sure how many times I’ve read about Lenovo partnering with a Linux distro (usually Fedora). Why do they keep dropping the policy?
£11.99 a month.
Or theres that Mubi Go, which seems to be Mubi, and a monthly cinema ticket to get bums in seats for independent cinema for £18.99.
I haven’t been on Reddit for about 2 years now, and it was getting terrible, but Daily Mail was generally downvoted.
Has it really got that bad? That’s really bad for the mental health of those folks still on it.
At least it used to be filled with Labour supporters who didn’t seem to have any idea of what their party actually represented, and hoped that it was some magical unicorn despite the voting patterns of the majority of their MPs.
Just because our government are a bunch of raging arseholes, doesn’t make everyone else here the same.
No one agrees with their policies, unfortunately all parties keep stepping on our necks so it ends up happening through a lack of choice.
Only on the condition that you help guillotine the rulling class.
We didn’t do it properly the first time and look at the state of us.
It’s really sad to see the UK get grouped like this.
I was part of the 48.1% who voted remain. How does the UK feel about Brexit now? Myself, and everyone I know is unhappy that it happened.
But it was never really a vote of the people, massive media campaigns for decades have villified the EU, the faces of Leave/Remain were all toxic. We were told that it was just an advisory, so I’m not surprised if people used to to vote against the Conservative government recommendations.
Even now, with our last election we had the two main parties hold completely terrible positions. We are stuck, and have been for decades, with no escape. Even our party of workers is making life harder for everyone, so it feels impossible to fight it.
Current polling shows 55% want to be in the EU, with only 30% happy to be out of it.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/987347/brexit-opinion-poll/
But even with that, our Government doesn’t represent us. Cozying up to Trump when there is massive hate towards them here rather than with our neighbours, fucking idiots. That’s how you get far right parties.
That PR site is NOT what is actually being sued.
The actual suit complains that you can’t resell keys for less.
Yes, I’ve always found jobs via linked in.
Though, I have been most successful through having recruiters reaching out to me directly rather than applying for jobs. Applying directly to companies is a recipe for being ignored.
This is completely incorrect.
The rule is that
You cannot generate Steam codes and sell them on alternative storefronts for less than you would sell them for on Steam for a similar length of time.
There is absolutely no rule saying that you cannot sell your game on alternative store fronts for less. There isn’t even a rule saying that you can’t sell Steam keys on alternative store fronts for less than you are currently selling them of Steam. Just not always selling Steam keys on alternative store fronts without at least sometimes selling them for that price on Steam.
Would it?
Genuinely curious, the world has massively changed in the past 6 months. Perspectives could have changed, is movement with the EU as bad as isolation from even the US?
An unstable misogynist, anti-vaxxer making racist statements decides to make their own version of X11. With hookers and blackjack.
https://mail-index.netbsd.org/netbsd-users/2025/06/06/msg032747.html
I wouldn’t waste your time even reporting on it. All their submitted patches to X11 were just refactoring, and even then they managed to break tests and fail to compile.
