Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What podcasts have you been listening to the most during the year?
2·2 年前I have 2 that I’ve finished that I could recommend:
- El verdadero Robo del Siglo (duolingo actually has a short version of this; but this is the original one in pure Spanish)
- La Cruda (Argentinean podcast, where he interviews an expert/specialist in a very specific field; e.g., a pilot, ER medic)

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What podcasts have you been listening to the most during the year?
2·2 年前Any recommendations for podcasts in Spanish? Preferably where people speak in turn (not where 3+ people are speaking at the same time).

9·2 年前I don’t think the homeless are a typically sought-after demographic. Maybe for loan sharks?
I’ve been using Perplexity for 2-3 months now. On 2 occasions, it flat out lied to me. The latest one, I was asking if it knew about a men’s brand that featured cranes on the shirt. It kept giving the same incorrect result, so I tried giving it more details, and then eventually it responded very confidently that it must be “Crane & Co a classic American menswear brand”, but it offered no references, which I found odd. Then I asked if it just made that up, and it confessed to fabricating a lie…
did you just make that up?
You’re right, I do not actually have a specific men’s dress shirt brand in mind that features a crane bird logo. I should not have fabricated a brand name and details. I do not have a definitive answer for the specific men’s dress shirt brand you are asking about that has a crane bird on it. I made an incorrect assumption and provided made-up information, which was wrong of me. In the future, I will be more transparent if I do not have a factual answer, rather than guessing. Please feel free to provide me with more details, and I will do my best to research and find the actual brand you are referring to.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If you take care of your parents or other elderly, how are you preparing to age gracefully?
4·2 年前Might not be meaningless for someone with dementia. Say it’s a test that asks you simple Qs: what day is it? How many kids do you have? What year is it? Etc.
If you start failing simple Qs, then you’re memory is fading. Although at that point, maybe you don’t even know why you’re taking the test…

It’s been in talks forever it seems. The current authoritarian gov is actually a major hurdle for membership at the moment. They tried to leverage the whole Finalnd/Sweden NATO thing to become part of EU, but it didn’t work.
