Something is awfully weird here, because Linux literally runs the worlds infrastructure for the internet. It is not unstable by any stretch of the imagination. Something you’re doing between all distros has got to be the culprit - something you do differently than other people.
I (wrongly) assumed that if he was hilarious to have made that graphic, that he’d maybe be more reasonable, hopefully funny. I was disappoint.
It did kick off me spending about 2 hours comparing Signal to SimpleX, and Briar, and a bunch of others, and I can only conclude Signal is the best out of them. The security community seems to be REALLY paranoid about every, single, tiny little thing - but I understand that they must be.
SimpleX doesn’t do any kind of IP address masking or have quantum resistant double ratchet encryption.
Briar doesn’t account for rogue-tor nodes, etc.
There’s just always some big glaring flaw in one of them.

If it does not meet the open source definition from the OSI, it is not open source. Source-available, is not the same thing. It is a ploy used by morons to hijack the meaning of the word, in order to gain the benefits of the communities surrounding open source.
OSI defintion requires:

Nice! Another person who did this for their son. There’s an open source hoverboard hack software which means you don’t even have to go through all of this motor controller junk like he did. No reason to waste good electronics with proper power stages and stuff.

I didn’t end up removing the pedals like he did, what I ended up doing was adding an encoder wheel to the pedals, so that my (then 4) year old son wasn’t having to work so hard to pedal through the rocks/sand/grass. So I turned mine into more like an electric-assisted pedal car.
Also, the big benefit of using the old electronics is also that it has the proper charging circuitry, and is basically ‘free’. I didn’t own any hoverboards prior to this project, I bought a bunch of them on Facebook Marketplace for like $20/ea

Accents have always been a barrier to communication - I have a hard time understanding Indian accents and have nothing against the indian people at all. This has nothing to do with racism or anything of the sort, and should be celebrated as allowing the world to communicate more effectively.

The moment they actually succeed in forcing ads on me, is the moment where I simply stop watching. Ads have become so frequent, so distracting, and so dangerous (scams, malware, disinformation) that they are pushing the world – not even just the internet – to the brink of destruction as more and more outrageous shit gets manufactured in the hope for clicks.
I will never pay for YouTube and I will NOT visit any site with ads. I do, however participate in patreons and other methods of paying creators.

eh…I’d try it. But knowing that kiwi gets really mushy, I don’t suspect I’d enjoy it. It’s the fibrous nature of pineapple which allows it to stay in-tact after cooking, and kiwi is just going to make a mushy spot.

Most podcasts are simply brain-rot. They aren’t even entertainment any more, they’re just zombification at this point.
This constant need to be entertained by something is ruining people’s aptitude for their own thinking minds. Listening to podcasts seems to be a way for people to absorb WHAT to think, instead of HOW to think. Nobody I’ve seen who listens to these podcasts does so with a critical mind, because a podcast doesn’t converse back. They listen to podcasts to be told what to think about a subject, so they can regurgitate it later.
I’d recommend not listening to podcasts unless you’re specifically learning something.
Bath doesn’t refer to the tub, it refers to bathing. You can ‘sink bathe’ with a rag and running sink water.
So a half-bath, contains 1/2 of the common furnishings for bathing.
Problem with Dumbphones is that they can’t run the Signal client. I still have a use for smartphones, but I don’t think the fairphone is it. I should probably look at the Pinephone again though.
