It was unreliable on my potato computer and with the speeds of back then for me, but I remember that pretty much all of my friends used it. I had to use my mum’s computer to join in lol.

Buy European@feddit.uk•Europe Can Replace U.S. Trade — Here’s How.
1·1 year ago@AlpacaChariot this is just downright impossible. Whenever there is a deal there is some concession to make on both sides. And the previous US politicians understood this, but still managed to get favourable terms for them. The way Trump wanted to just grab it all just made it impossible for the US to negotiate any further the way it did.

Technology@beehaw.org•I Believe That It's Important For All of Us to Understand What 'Decentralization' Truly Means. Please, Let's Talk About That
2·1 year ago@jagged_circle You don’t install a Bluesky instance, rather you host your own PDS, or your own web client, or the feed part. It’s all a mess and the latter has very high system requirements for one to self-host from what I understood. Basically, it’s impossible if you’re not a company with the willing and the money to do it.
If decentralization actually happens on Bluesky, it will be more confusing for the average person than with something like Mastodon.

2·1 year agoI’m happy that the EU is looking for alternative trade partners, but I’m also surprised the EU has signed no bilateral deals with the US, let alone China.
Also, yeah, there’s still room for much more improvement in how the EU states are integrated with each other.

1·1 year ago@Pirata Thought of starting to use Freenow as well. It sucks that this was the way to make room for Lyft in Europe…
I’ll still rely on public transit fwiw. Had some poor experience lately that made me reconsider using this type of service at all…
@Miha23 exactly!
@Sunshine is (was) Tatra Czech Republic’s Samsung? Seems like they’re producing everything: from trams, to trucks, to razors etc.
Mind everyone that, despite being European, Qobuz still lacks support for many countries out there, so not a great alternative to established streaming platforms if you’re not in one of them.
Soundcloud seems like it’s bigger.

4·1 year agoI’ve watched it back in the day, I think, on Netflix (ironically). Not something I wasn’t already aware of, personally, but all the info that was already publicly available was nicely put.
Still have my socials (FB and Insta) because many of my friends are there, but I rarely visit these places.
This place is way better 😁

21·1 year agoWait, can you actually purchase music through Qobuz? And download it for an unlimited number of times in different formats (mp3, ogg, flac etc.)?

92·1 year ago@Lennarthellman wish there was something European for purchasing music as well. Bandcamp is nice, but it’s too much money I’m giving to the US on every purchase.

I’m using them as Christmas tree decorations, but you can use them in multiple ways. You can hang them by a string, you can spray paint them and/or put them in a terrarium, etc.
