In my experience they half-arse it though. For example on GrapheneOS (which is considered significantly more secure than default Android) several banking apps block access because they use some questionable Google Play API which doesn’t recognise GrapheneOS.
Most of them are OK, I’ve not encountered any that are unusable though
What do they do if you don’t have a smartphone? Or was this an account that you could only open in-app?

Technically not true, companies don’t have to give you bank holidays off as long as you get the right number of days in total (e.g. shops that are open on bank holidays), it’s just that most places just give you the bank holidays (so the image is technically correct but a bit misleading)

The relevant bit is that while many were doing it for the financial reward, some do it for reputation and some genuinely do think they’re helping by adding info they think is missing but not realising that what they’re posting is unreliable.

How would I do that?
I guess they just skipped countries that have a unique name for it

1·6 个月前Amusingly the only adapter I had is one that came free with an old phone which has just broken! I use wireless headphones mainly, not a fan of all the noise that comes from a cable banging against me as I walk.

1·6 个月前Seems like an issue with buying cheap adapters rather than with the concept of adapters, cheap headphones will presumably break just as easily

14·6 个月前It always surprises me that so many people still want this. I know it’s representative of the anti-choice homogenisation of phones in general, but something like removable batteries or expandable storage seems so much more important than a dedicated old headphone connector.
I personally hate how annoying headphone wires are, but even if you like them then is it so inconvenient to leave an adapter connected to your headphones? And a splitter as well if you’re desperate to charge simultaneously?

Oh the card readers? I’ve got about 5 of them, every bank used to give you one when you opened an account. Supposedly they’re pretty secure, too.
