That’s an interesting one. My sweaty palms gaming days are behind me, so I’m not super worried about abusing the shell. The level of destructiveness/invasiveness of drilling through the mouse is a bit high for this kind of cheap part replacement.

There’s only the one part (replacement part is orange PLA) that affixes directly to the mouse (abs plastic?).

The black part off to the side is the old rubber shell that peeled off.

A glue gun may do the trick - at least it’s non destructive enough to give it a try!

Yeah, the model not being a full replacement of the rubber part was annoying. I used an Xacto knife to cut the rubber before removing it, leaving it in place where the replacement didn’t reach. There is no wear and tear that far up the mouse so it doesn’t look half bad.

I see the window controls (close, maximize, minimize) on your music player, but not on the other windows (file manager, console, etc). I also don’t see them in your top bar. Where they at?

I like the idea of RetroDeck over EmuDeck, but a couple things hold me back.

1. When an emulator goes under (a la Yuzu) does it get removed from the RetroDeck package on the next update, or does the already installed emulator stay put?
2. Ryujinx has been declared legacy (no longer updated) as of RetroDeck 0.9b, but a fork of the project still continues to receive updates. EmuDeck’s Ryujinx pulls from this repo, where as RetroDeck’s source is dated. Is there a way to switch over within RetroDeck?

Quick interaction with small elements at distances across the screen? Absolutely I’m preferring poking the screen over the touchpad.

I would never drop the touchpad in favour of a touchscreen, but I feel it when the touchscreen is missing.
