I mean it’s the same on both sides. People don’t respect people’s right to not want queer shit shoved in their faces all the time and assholes attack LGBTQ people just for trying to pursue their own best life. Creates tension and ignorance on both sides.
Something that’s not happening. But yet we have Christians all over this country shoving their religion down everyone else’s throats. That creates tension.
Well one is happening more across the country. Like currently there’s one jackass in the senate who’s blocking nominations to head the armed forces because said jackass wants to force his religous views on everyone in the military. Or removing bodily autonomy because your religion says its wrong. Or allowing camps to “convert” lgbtq+ youths to being straight.
Someone flying a flag or a parade seems very minor compared to that.
What’s your definition of “shoving [ideology] down people’s throats” tho? Because if you think having a rainbow flag flying outside one’s business is that, then you are too far for me to discuss with. Have you SEEN Christmas? I couldn’t escape Christian ideology if I buried myself for a month before Dec. 25th. I see 1 pride flag every other day, unless I go to a big city but, and if people don’t like that, they can just move 20mi away.
Edit: I was just thinking, Pride Month can’t even compete with Christmas in terms of length of real person “inundation time”, and we don’t have “temples for our gods” taking up space everywhere either, we have fucking flags and Skittles
