    This is great stuff. I mean, not for my tires. But in every other respect. Great.

      Porcupines cannot throw their quills. Quills are modified hairs that are loosely attached. What they can do is bristle, raising the quills away from their body and making it more likely for the pointy bits to find a target. They can also slap with their tail, which also has quills.
