    Need internet to switch the “downloaded” cycles because 2 cycles i use routinely aren’t default options or configurable from the preprogrammed ones for both the washer and the drier.

    Also, I depend on phone notifications so I don’t forget about the load.

        BUT HOW WILL HE SURVIVE WITHOUT THE ALERTS ON HIS PHONE TELLING HIM HIS WIFE’S BOYFRIEND’S LAUNDRY IS DONE?! We don’t want Craig smelling all mildewy whilst digging out this dudes wife.

      This post alone just told me that I am never buying an LG washer or dryer, that is fucking stupid. you can:t change the settings without being connected to the internet? Yea hard pass

        You can change most of the settings - but specific cycles i used required me to “download” them, ie timed dry, eco wash, low temp dry, and a few others. I can use another cycle and change the temperature or some of the ither settings, but I can’t adjust every setting the way I’d like unless the base cycle supports it, the downloaded cycles provide more specific settings. When I bought it, I figured I’d be able to adjust the normal cycle and the options I needed, but nope, needed the app to change the “download” cycle.

        I love the washer overall, but if they interfere with my use, I’m going to be pissed.
