If you don’t want to destroy it you are arguing for continuing the oppression of people around the world, the continued occupation of indigenous land and the continued exploitation of black people. False dichotomy. The US ceasing to exist does not stop those things from happening. Indeed, in the short term, things would probably get a hell of a lot worse, as there would be a massive, global power vacuum.
The US ceasing to exist won’t stop those things by themself but it is necessary to stop them at all. Stop with this global power vacuum nonsense the US enforcing imperialism and its economic interests abroad isn’t a good thing and stopping it won’t make the world worse.
The collapse of the Roman Empire led to hundreds of years of conflict and poverty in Europe. We see the same today in the wake of the Ottoman Empire in the Middle East & North Africa.

The collapse of the ottoman empire isn’t responsible for the current state of the middle east and North Africa at least not completely. I like how you ignore the exploitation of these areas but US/British/French imperialism as a cause. Organize society non-hierarchically, decolonize the world and so much more and none of this will happen while the US is importing neo liberalism and violently enforcing the economic interests of their elite.
China is colonizing on a much smaller scale. If you think China would be any worse than the US you are brainwashed not to say they would be much better either. Society doesn’t need a global imperial hegemony forcing capitalism all over.

China is already colonizing. The best you can hope for is the quick, relatively peaceful ascendancy of a new global hegemon.
