Thank you monerobull for operating the monerosupplies store.
I asked two Mastodon admins, both new to crypto, to accept crypto donations, adding “if possible Monero.” To my surprise, a few weeks later one started to accept only Monero, running a full-node, p2pool’ing, even providing xmrno.de publicly for non-full-node p2pool miners. So this privacy-oriented (no-logging) generic Mastodon instance ieji.de (also providing onion/I2P) is now Monero supporting.
This post was reported with the following reason:
Please don’t let this community devolve into photos of stickers. That’s why I left the reddit one.
The votes are also pretty mixed, maybe there should be a specific community for sticker/outreach posts?
Oh my bad. Just wanted to share one of my ways of contributing to the project. Didn’t realize posting stickers here was controversial. Is it best if I delete the post?
I don’t think that is necessary for this specific post. If anyone wants to make a sticker/outreach community for future posts, please do so and let people know about it in the Meta sub :)
@admin @Killercat103 Sheesh, boomer.
Reddit has /r/moonero for sticker/outreach/memes/image edits and /r/monero more centered on actual discussions and relevant news to the project. !monero_memes@monero.town exists, if the community can’t be renamed to moonero, then monero_memes can become the de facto moonero community in Lemmy? Worth updating the sidebar, point future posts like these there. Just a thought. Cc. @Killercat103@infosec.pub.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !monero_memes@monero.town
I promote the use of Digital Cash / Monero wherever its relevant. I’ve introduced at least 25 people to the ecosystem, a few still use it, a little. I got a few websites accepting monero donations, so thats nice.
If your going to place Monero sticks all over town, make sure it says “Monero” on the sticker, the logo is not enough. When normies see the Monero logo, they do not know what it is and have no way to look it up.
It does technically do that though. It even provides a domain for more information https://monerosupplies.com/product/history-55/
