Thunderbolt 4 - No amps

Hello, everybody!

One of the Thunderbolt 4 ports on my laptop is broken. I thought it was 100% dead, because it cannot charge my laptop.

To my surprise, when I stick a USB meter between it and the charger, I can see that a handshake with 5V and 2A is established.

What do you think is the failure mode for this port? I am just curious.
