Somewhat. I’m looking at v-slot aluminium profiles to build something small and non-critical for my desk that is reusable long-term at least for the components. I’m just trying to not create waste unnecessarily or damage the parts.
I guess context is everything. I was imagining an engineer trying to make critical design decisions based on the answers to ChatGPT questions.
I have tested it a few times about similar technical knowledge and it failed to get some important things right just about every time. Even going so far as to site nonexistent sources and attribute sources to nonexistent people.
I literally have a function in my code that checks for that phrase, among others, to assuage the LLM’s “fear” that I might have forgotten and ask again for the real answer. Feels like they are double billing me every time.
