I have no idea how or when, but somehow I broke my e-reader’s screen after almost 6 years of active usage.

I was very satisfied with simplicity of the PocketBook lux2 and now I need to find a good replacement.

A quick search on the internet revealed that the industry unfortunately moved towards touchscreens , which frightens me…

My ideal e-reader:

  • 6 inch screen,
  • physical buttons,
  • no touch screen,
  • ideally without backlight, but if it has, no big deal
  • same open as PocketBook - so I can read books from my library without any stores, drm checks etc…

Why don’t I simply buy the current PocketBook Verse ? It is 50% more expensive than my old model without any improvements, with freakishly small buttons and it looks much thicker than lux2.

So any recommendations will be appreciated!
