Hi, my name’s Kim. I am Kenyan living in Kenya. Please hear me out, so now  i lost my job around April last year. Contract ended and the donor stopped funding the project for some reason. For over 3 years, I was the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning officer at that NGO. And since then i haven’t gotten a job. The economy is really shit in kenya and it’s even worse if you come from the wrong tribe. Now I have a degree in Finance and 3 experience in  MEL plus some experience in Finance. Earlier this year the wife and my two kids left because i couldn’t provide anymore. The kids are temporarily staying at my sister’s who lives in the country. And my wife is at her parent’s. (Word on the street is she’ll be going to Australia soon. Her parents are fundraising for her. In Kenya $15000 gets you a work visa in Aussie. Those who can afford are quiting the country en masse) I sold everything and gave my sis the money to help with the kids, now I’m living in the slums.(Those rusted iron sheet houses you see in the news about Nairobi? They’re real haha tb I can’t attach some videos but if you’re interested we can do a video call when it’s daytime in Kenya. The slums real dangerous past 7pm) I am asking for a job, something that can be done remotely, research, virtual assistant, admin, any of the MEL roles(Indicator tracking, results chains, Theory of Change, evaluation criteria, attribution and contribution, sampling, mixed methods, triangulation, Difference-in-Differences, DQA and disaggregation. ODK, household surveys, FGDs, KIIs, data cleaning and validation, results analysis and evidence-based reporting etc.) project management, data analysis. Data interpretation and visualization, Excel work or just any ms office roles, Copy writing Anything… send it my way I’ll do it. I just need $20/day for my kids.  That’s my humble request. I have tried all the remote job sites but most people ghost once they know you’re from Africa.  I just need a chance to show I’m competent. I am willing to send any documentation needed to prove the authenticity of my post.
