minus-squareintro@lemmynsfw.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·1 year agoyeah, nvidia drivers are still weird on linux. Whenever I upgrade nvidia drivers on Mint, first I change to nouveau, otherwise the monitor goes black until I reset the computer.

minus-squarepractisevoodoo@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up6·1 year agoDitto. Install OS, timeshift. Get Nvidia, CUDA and CuDnn all playing together, timeshift. Install everything else safe in the knowledge that no matter how badly I break things at least I won’t have to do step 2 again.
