I’ve tried to delete my lemmy.world account, but can still log into my fully functional account. I’ve tried multiple times and waiting it out for 3 or 4 days now.

All account deletion seems to do is log you out.

edit: seems a similar issue is known, and my lemmy.ml account wont delete in a similar way. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/1637

    But seriously. We get that this is a big issue, a user should be able to delete their account at all times. Not only to comply with legislation, but also from a moral standpoint. That’s why developers are already working on a solution. I don’t know exactly when the patch will be rolled out.

      Thanks. There is likely an API fix for it. The downside is that I’m going to be unable to say what works haha. Either lemmy.ml is bugged out not letting people login again, or that delete went through. Just sorting out .world now.
