What is lemmy.world doing defederating before hexbear even federates? lemmy.world/instances

This is what it took to defederate from exploding-heads after being federated with them since the start of lemmy.world

What evidence do you have of hexbear breaking the lemmy or citizen code of conduct?

Has the criteria for defederation changed?

Hexbear is one of the largest and most active lemmy instances:

So they are operating on an allow-list, which they are being upfront about. Opposite means by which to secure a safer space like beehaw.org yet lemmy.world did not block them.

So the site has a wide range of views? I’ve seen users on this site with varying degrees of support for Russia. Again this would qualify for blocking specific users or even communities yet blocking the instance is the choice? I am asking why.

If upvote auditing is the metric for blocking let’s hear it but that is again a pretty strange reason to block the instance as users can easily block these pro-Russian users.

The admins are asking the users to obey the rules of federated instances and their communities, lol the strangest reason to block of all.
