Yeah, I can do that easily on my app as well. I was just wanting to know how to block whole instances like hexbear. I don’t want to see anything on any of their communities. And you can do it in the web ui, although it isn’t all that intuitive.
Instance to me is everything associated with a domain name. When I referred to communities I mean something like news@lemmy.whatevrr or politics@something.com

I don’t know how willing you are to use a different app, but Sync allows me to block entire instances and it was the first thing I did.
However, you’ll still see their comments on non-blocked instances, so your mileage may vary.
