Yeah American TV is definitely lowest common denominator. It’s popular because it caters to the same kind of people that would like ‘ow my nuts’ from idiocracy, and those kinds are endless in number.
Again, he’s not a good host for comedy, delivery, or pacing, but his stupid face and bumbling nature is beloved by many.
You say that but his stupid shocked face literally kept the show alive long LONG after it should have passed away peacefully.
I mean its almost like his semi incompetence is a cultivated branding trait now.

To me Canada’s version is much better because we have a host that can actually read the questions and banter with the people
