I know you are joking, but this asshole’s parents were legit in the business of running company towns for mining and exploiting human labor. It’s pretty normal for an auto factory to run 24 hours a day with three 8 hour shifts. 100% of them manage to do it without having workers having to sleep in the plant.

The guy has no work-life balance and will likely put in insane hours. He’s warning there will be extra effort to put in, extra time, all companies do this but usually not so bad. While I’m happy not to work there, the important parts are whether he pays them appropriately for that kind of overtime, whether it’s temporary, and whether they can refuse without retribution

Because then the company and public would have to come to terms with the fact that they are wildly overvalued based on Musk’s lies about their technology and capabilities and the stock price would tank. Also, the board is loaded with Musk cronies if I understand it correctly.
