In all seriousness I just don’t know if I have it in me to keep paying attention to a trainwreck that I have no control over. I can only help my local community in some limited manner, anything outside of that all I can do is vote and yell at a “representative” that is bribed to not listen.

I didn’t think I’d ever be anything special, but I also didn’t think I’d be 38 and single for going on a decade, living in someone else’s garage, working in a factory in a dead end position with no degree and not an ounce of self worth to even presume to choose a direction.

Hell my phone camera now is advanced enough that it has the ability to do “astrophotography” on its own without a telescope. The pixel series of phones after 4 has an astrophotography mode, the “ai” processing slightly corrects for star trailing. It’s been pretty crazy to just point my phone up and catch Andromeda or the Orion nebula!

Absolutely! Just learning the positions of everything now and being able to describe them to people during the day has been pretty awesome. “Useless” knowledge, but I’ve always loved space lol

First, in many states the electors are bound by law to support the candidate that wins the popular vote in their state. The penalties may vary, but the intent is clear: to make sure people realize it is against the law in that state

Honestly this is so stupid if I understand their reasoning for existing in the first place. Unless I’m misunderstanding they were supposed to exist literally for this exact election, where the people elected an absolute atrocity of a person and “our betters” would recognize that and vote against him.

We should just do away with it if we have no interest in utilizing them for their actual purposes.

Thanks! That image isn’t stacked, but I am just getting into learning about all of that. I think I’m having an issue with clarity (I’m just using my pixel 8 pro and a cheapo phone adapter hooked up to my telescope) so the stacking software I’ve tried isn’t picking up on most frames.

If I have to begrudgingly thank Trump for anything, it’s pushing me to buy a seestar s50 now before prices go up with the tarrifs so I’ll be getting much better images soon! Not for planets though lol It’s mostly for deep space objects.

I literally just got into astrophotography and found this out pretty recently. Still nice to see, but it does suck that I’ll have to wait a few years to get cooler pictures!
