I don’t see them as replacing the originals, although I guess in a sense they are. It would be one thing if they weren’t as good as the originals, but they’re arguably better. I’ve been a Resident Evil fan since 1996, I thought the original was better than Resident Evil 2 (which was an unpopular opinion at the time), but right now, if you ask me the best game in the series that I’ve played so far?
