It’s not suspicious to me. It’s being talked about all over social media and almost all of the video game YouTubers and streamers have been pushing it these last few days.

Most EVs use permanent magnet (neodymium) motors because they’re more efficient than induction motors.
The hand would have an ace pop out of the sleeve. I think the robot did something too.
And all the senior management that believed their horseshit.

There’s only 12 months in the year. If every issue is going to have a month, there’s going to be some overlap.
People keeping old ass industrial equipment alive. I had to buy some CD-Rs recently because it was the only way to get files on or off an ancient Win95 machine that had no network or USB ports. The machinery it interacts with costs a million dollars, so replacing it is no small thing.

Politics and money. If a “mistake” financially benefits a company, there’s a 99% chance it was actually malice/greed.

He already did that 2 weeks ago.
In case you haven’t noticed, Lemmy is full of non-Americans who are ignorant of American culture and politics, yet still feel the need to share their ignorant takes for some reason.

Yeah, they have no savings because they plow all profits into stock buy backs. Hell, a lot of them have borrowed money to do buy backs.

2/3rds actually. The people who didn’t vote also don’t care about keeping it.

I had a neighbor like that who removed his right after Jan 6. It went right back up in 2024.
That 1% number is a bit misleading. Federal funding isn’t paid to NPR directly and instead goes to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The CPB gives money to non-profit radio/tv stations and those stations pay NPR, PRI, APM, etc for content. Without the CPB, tons of radio stations, mostly rural, couldn’t afford to exist and wouldn’t be paying NPR anything.
The message is 100% clear to Americans already.

It’s a bit surprising he didn’t have them censor all references to him before releasing the files. I’m surprised any time this administration doesn’t do the most corrupt and evil thing possible.

I’m old enough to say it was exactly like this back in 2005. That was a couple years after the Bush administration told blatant lies to start the Iraq War, ignoring the largest protests in the world up to the time. There was open corruption as they gave out massive no-bid contracts to Republican cronies like KBR. There was rank incompetence like the FEMA response to hurricane Katrina, led by a guy whose sole qualifications were running a horse breeding association (and raising a bunch of money for Republicans).

There actually are rules. They’re just complicated because English prefers to preserve the pronunciation of loan words without changing their spelling and English has a ton of loan words. If you ignore them, native English words are fairly consistent.

Why do you think the ad network wouldn’t handle it similar to how payment platforms already handle sales/VAT?

It’s actually pretty easy to know which country an IP belongs to. ARIN, RIPE, etc all keep public databases tracking what ASN blocks are allocated to each country.
I don’t know about that. I remember reading about the housing bubble in 2005 and it took 2 more years for it to pop
