AFAIK, Rust is mainly funded by the Rust Foundation, which not only includes Microsoft, but also includes comrades from Huawei and alike.
This’ll probably be different from the Online Safety Act since DSA already differenciates centralized and community-based moderation.

As far as I’ve seen, on 99% of websites that I use, there’s a Delete account button. And I believe that’s because of GDPR.
There’s still an option of carrying a plastic chipped ID card with you.
It’d better to check whether the bootloader is unlocked. If banks can do it, then this app can also do it.
You can always ask them for a Linux distro. When I was an intern, I asked the IT team to preinstall some flavour of Linux. And they did. They installed Ubuntu on that laptop.
