If I’m understanding your question correctly the answer is “sort of.” The main community I know of is !fedibridge@lemmy.dbzer0.com which sees pretty regular activity but it’s more focused on promoting the fediverse rather than a checklist of goals. That’s the closest one to what you’re asking for that I’m aware of.

Everything is trending up across the instance. We’ve added some new local users and some new communities were started recently. Good stuff! The numbers for the communities I started are listed below. If you’re interested in gardening, nature, or traveling there are local communities run by others you might want to check out and show some love to as well. Nothing crazy (lol) but nothing to complain about either. Our communities are still growing at a steady pace and slowly seeing new people posting and commenting. !weedtime@crazypeople.online is up to almost 3k MAU which is decent for a community that isn’t on one of the big instances I think. !loweffortmemes@crazypeople.online isn’t terribly far behind at almost 2.4k MAU.

Some larger surges over the last couple weeks and things continue to trend positively. Quite happy with the growth and activity everywhere on the site. I’d like to see more local users but I’m sure that will come with time.

Lots of movement since the last one of these posts. crazypeople.online hit a mini milestone of 50 users recently, continuing our slow and steady membership growth. The communities look like this-
Activity has been up pretty much everywhere but !loweffortmemes@crazypeople.online as several others are posting and commenting in the communities. !weedtime@crazypeople.online is a regular feature on the !trendingcommunities@feddit.nl bot and our other communities make semi regular appearances there too. Downvotes are a dark feature designed to excuse Reddit (and YouTube, etc.) from actually moderating their platforms under the guise of “social” moderation, but it’s actually something that stifles speech that challenges the consensus, rather than preventing toxicity.
They can be disabled on Lemmy but it has to be done at the instance level. Our instance has them disabled. Not a perfect solution but it does help address this issue.
Things slowed down a bit this week but still trending upward.
!pokemonTCGM@crazypeople.online didn’t see much growth this week but as usual the trade thread was popping off and we saw plenty of other posts. Very happy with this community as a whole, now over 140 subscribers.
!loweffortmemes@crazypeople.online had another slow week. Adding few new members brought the total to just over 150 subscribers this week. Since this community is meant to be somewhat impulsive and silly it may grow in bursts as the few of us who post their find the inspiration for it.
Thanks! I’ve been quite chuffed with the local user growth over the last month or so. Several of the recent applicants have mentioned finding us through reddit threads or search engines which is great because it means we’re getting exposure as a very small instance to people who’ve never heard of Lemmy before. I’m not sure what more we could hope for.
Our instance and communities have continued their slow and steady growth.

Last week really flew by, jeez.
crazypeople.online continues to grow at a steady pace. We seem to be attracting a mix of reddit refugees, newer lemmy users, and some alts/established users. We added some additional resources to the server yesterday to keep things running smoothly as more people join and expand our reach.
Activity is up, and we even had a local user spin up a community this week. Great stuff for our little place. Here’s what the numbers say-
!weedtime@crazypeople.online moves into the top spot this week. Now over 220 subscribers, this communitiy has grown by 20+ subscribers yet again. With 4/20 fast approaching I’m hopeful we’ll see a surge in user activity here soon too.
!eternalplaylist@crazypeople.online slides to second place this week. Subscriber growth was in the single digits this week but overall activity is way up as new people have started sharing the music they’re jamming. If you’re looking for a place to share or discover a wide range of music, this is it.
!loweffortmemes@crazypeople.online grew by about 10 subscribers this week. The content here is fairly sporadic as there are just a couple of us posting whenever the mood strikes. There are definitely more people on lemmy with ideas for lazy memes. Don’t be shy!

The trade posts have been helping players grab the cards they need each week and we’ve been developing some friendly rivalries about silly in game mechanics. @Blaze@HalfTheFediverse.lol (kidding @Blaze@lemmy.zip) has been sharing some of the artwork from the TCG for us to get our hopes up about what we might see added in the future, and others have been sharing their pulls and picks too. If you play this game and you aren’t part of our community you’re missing out IMO.
!autoracing@crazypeople.online is nearing 60 subscribers. If you’re into racing you might find some of the posts interesting, but the series and events being posted are somewhat irregular. More content is always welcomed!

There are a few different ways to address the spam but none of them are perfect and all of them require intervention from your instance admin. The best course of action is to bring the spam to their attention by reporting the DMs. You may even want to contact your admin directly to ask them to take action.
To a certain extent I think the list of goals has sort of defaulted to development related stuff. A lot of the growth across the fediverse is being driven by whatever mass exodus is happening at any given time. There’s definitely a desire to onboard more people more organically but it’s hard when people are expecting drop in replacements for the largest social networks on the planet.
There seem to be a lot of people who are looking for easier ways to introduce people to federated social media as a whole. If you search around I’m sure you’ll find an assortment of posts outlining their ideas about what makes Lemmy/the fediverse harder to use. Maybe that’s a good place to start building a more comprehensive list of what’s needed to grow more on merit and not as a last resort.
