It’s not just that. It’s about oil & gas too. Ukraine is gar friendlier to the US and the EU. They also has the ability to sever Europe’s need for Russian energy.
Every dollar is worth it.

Specifically, the GOP fearmongers most. The Dems are much more internationally & diplomatically inclined when compared to their political opponents.
Tinfoil Hat Time: I think the separatism in the US is being stoked by outside forces. If you read a summary of The Foundations of Geopolitics it sounds very familiar to what’s happening. I also think Social Media needs to go, or rather engagement driven algorithms, because they create informational bubbles that polarize society.
Accoording to Wikipedia it’s because of water ice and craters that aren’t in constant sunlight.
Also, don’t forget that Ukraine has sihnificant oil & gas reserves in the East as well as contributing an enormous amount to the world’s food supply. Having the chance to get those things in the hands of a far friendlier country, I think NATO will put a lot of effort into getting Ukraine solidly on our side.
Distracted? I dunno. Russian propagandists/bots seems more likely.
Even at the bar I tend, filled with “conservatives” that think Donald was cheated out of the election, there isn’t anyone who believes Russia is in the right.
I was gonna say. I distinctly remember that the only reason cluster munitions were sent was in response to Russian ones targeting civilians.
Won’t effect the US, even if it causes cancer. EU has prohibited food additives which are carcinogenic, but we don’t because the poor, poor food producers might have to pay farmers more and pay a couple pennies to make food that doesn’t kill people.
That being said, if the issue is traffic slowing down, then you put up a monument between the highway and Stonehenge that blocks drivers’ view. Could easily be a monument to the Celtic and Gallic history of England. Something nondescript from the road’s side.
If the issue is the amount of traffic, then regulated entry is the way. Put stoplights at the highway’s entry and only let several on at a time.
That would be the UK’s 2nd biggest mistake of the century.
Seconding that it appears to just be a photo with a text post. Broken link maybe? The photo looks like it could be from an article.
Good for Egypt!
