On friday I went to an indie film premiere and there wasn’t an empty seat to be had. It only cost 2 million to make and was one of the best movies I’ve seen in years. I also regularly visit my local community theatre where they play old gems and its always super busy. People are happy to pay for a nice night at the movies. You just need to provide good content.

The software on my Samsung is so fucked that if I physically switch HDMI connections between inputs, it puts up a screen saying “switching source” despite my new source already being visible on the screen for 3-5 seconds before the tv claims to switch it. The biggest consequence was a settlement payment to those mistreated. Which didn’t come out of the police budget or pension so basically they got to force the taxpayer to bail them out for their incompetence after the government already paid over a billion dollars for extra security.

I started a permanent loblaws boycott this week. Won’t be shopping at any of the other big names either. Preparing to participate in the boycott led me to sign up for a co op that I should’ve been using all along and I don’t see myself ever going back. Anything they don’t carry I can get at a local independent grocer and they’re usually a little cheaper than no frills anyway.
Co ops are a solution to corporate greed, use them whenever possible.

Yeah cause our streaming platforms are shit due to how our licensing works and greedy companies being stupid. If I want to watch Rick and Morty I have to sign up for Stack tv which costs over 20 bucks a month while being LOADED with forced ads during broadcasts and has such a tiny library there’s only one or two other shows I would even watch on the service.
Piracy is a service issue. I gladly pay for the few streaming services in my country that aren’t a steaming dumpster fire.

Not sure about a decrease, but you can easily get it fully refunded if they fuck up. I tip really well because I used to be a food courier myself. Every few months some idiot delivers my pizza upside down or leaves my order outside my building and I get my tip refunded with ease. I have no idea if that money is refunded from the dasher’s pay though.

The Canada-USA border is the largest unguarded land border on the planet for reasons beyond the goodwill between our nations. Features along it like the Great Lakes and the Rocky Mountains make building a wall impossible. Thankfully reality doesn’t matter to Republicans so they could be convinced to try.
