I’m a frequent Craigslist user for both sales and purchases. Selling stuff has become extremely difficult since Marketplace took over as the the “standard” for the area I live in. I’m in the same boat as I refuse to make an account on that shit heap of a website so getting my sales to move takes a lot more work.

It also does not help that the second-hand landscape has changed a lot in the past 5ish years. People expect a lot more money for their used items now and buyers expect steep discounts for like-new condition items.

It’s getting really bad. You can look up the most mundane, everyday search term and there will be a distracting amount of fake images in the results.

I look up a lot of reference images for art projects and so I have to skim over a lot of AI slop.

The problem I have with disabling or turning off permissions is that it assumes that Google respects you enough to honour your requests and actually disable them.

And I have absolutely zero faith in Google to do that.

One of the many reasons I will never integrate smart home stuff into my house.

My light switches still work because they’re powered by my finger instead of the “cloud”.

Please no. One of the parts of Reddit I really hate is the amount of useless bots that clog up the comments.

LGR is a classic. He’s a great, honest guy and runs a good channel with good content. Financed by views and memberships/Patrons; I don’t think he does any sponsorship deals at all.

He’s an old-school kind of Youtuber that sticks to what he does and doesn’t overreach or grow too fast like so many channels do.

The Convoy being a rights movement was a skin-deep excuse for what it actually was. It did not take long at all before it turned into a general anti-vax fascist movement that saw significant funding and support coming up from the US.

Carney and the Liberals are far from being fascist. He’s what could be considered centre-right, before American politics completely destroyed people’s understanding of the political spectrum.

He has socially centre-left beliefs while being somewhat mildly fiscally conservative. That’s a type of politician Canada has not had in years and part of why he has been so popular lately, especially with moderate conservatives who have felt unrepresented.

Also this is not surprising if you remember who he is replacing. He knows has to distance himself from Trudeau’s government or he is going to lose.
