I mean we did this already, Trump told people that COVID could be treated with UV lights and drinking bleach. Then told his cult it wasn’t real, it was going away really fast, and if we stop testing it’ll basically disappear over night.
I think in NY we are aware and the state is trying brace for the worse, and I see/hear people starting gardens, getting chickens, and basically have “bug out bags” incase things go sideways.
So is he voiding all work visas now? Or just for people of color? Or based on nationality? Or is he planning to void all visas because “something something American first [racist run-on]”?
Also gotta love the irony of the guy being married to a woman who worked here illegally while waiting on her work visa, now deporting people who followed the law.
So we are to believe that each J6 felon Trump pardoned was signed by hand in something other than Sharpie?
Also why bother with the investigations, they investigated Biden for 4 years and despite the “overwhelming evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors” they couldn’t even name one, let alone provide evidence. This is just Trump trying to get his base focused on something other than how he is screwing them despite their support.
Well it depends on the topic, because some people love Musk dismantling the government, and others really get a chub from all the deportation (even though it’s a fraction of what he promised) and just general cruelty. But he still has the bottom 2 presidential approval ratings.
I also think many people tuned out post election because they either voted for the shithead and are by their nature very low information voters, or voted against him and needed to go into a news void for mental health reasons post election.
Private prisons (The GEO Group and CoreCivic), and any of many security companies that deal with government contracts are probably a good start.
I saw pics of someone that rebadged their model 3 I think it was with an Audi badge, and if you knew nothing about cars it looked believable.
Several of these platforms used bots and/or multiple staff accounts to inflate user count/engagement to draw more people in and trigger the network effect.
Oh the irony that the shitheads that couldn’t wear a mask, and want to ban books because of “parent rights”, now want to ice parents out of the decision of a rando looking at their kids genitals.
And they are all making $$$. Insiders make out like crazy when the economy crashes, buy the low and hold. Open a for-profit prison. Get shady government contracts. Get the President to do a commercial for your cars in front of the White House. And on and on.
Saw a great video of his approval numbers and he is underwater compared to every other president for this soon in. His only competition, and President he still comes in 2nd worst to depending on the topic, is himself from his first term. 🤣🤣

Trump did a supermarket thing while out doing his disinformation circuit, and the owner guy was trying to explain things to him and you could tell Trump had never grocery shopped and then quickly lost interest and tuned the guy completely out.
The McDonald’s fries thing was also amusing when he learned “how fries were made” and that they put them in a basket and not scoop them out by hand lol.
This broadcasts his insecurities about being clueless how the economy or anything works, and has surrounded himself with yes men idiots that can’t even bail him out of this hole he dug himself. A big tell is he is so pissed he is giving them over 4 wks to lift their electricity premium.
As an American I say Canada should just go the “we don’t bargain with terrorists” approach and just cut the electric today. Call the bully’s bluff.
The US as a whole has gotten more extreme (we just elected a guy that praised Hitler), but we also have kids born into a world where school shootings are a common occurrence. Kids are surrounded by adults that hate people that don’t fit the “norm”, that fear everything, and then they see violence everywhere.
I mean we just re-elected a guy that used violence in an effort to overthrow the government, and not only did we not punish him, we gave him that highest position in our government. He then freed the people that carried out his orders.
The Right has also embraced the Proud Boys and other domestic terrorist organizations. The President met with a former Grand Wizard of the KKK, and told people that Nazi’s marching with tiki torches chanting “Jews will not replace us” were “some very fine people”.
That number seems incomprehensible, and absolutely gut-wrenching. The fact we have to continue down this path of generational PTSD and survivor syndrome is maddening and heartbreaking.
It’s also defending the cult leader mentality. Breaking with the cult puts you on the outside, and an enemy of the cult. Breaking free of a cult isn’t easy when the cult’s actions are constantly being reinforced and regurgitated by their leader and his media disinformation networks.
Allowing people to get measles puts the general population at risk in addition to the asshole parents (and sadly their kids). The vaccine has something like a 97% immunity effectiveness after 2 doses (so less than that for only the 1st), but that means 3% of people that did the right thing could still contract and spread measles without hurd immunity.
Churches should not be allowed to have any political influence. They should be required to give any funds coming in right back out to the community to maintain their tax exempt status. Allowing these mega churches to have people living like the 1% while using their wealth and influence to oppress others should be enough to force them to shut down.
Yeah I personally know 2 people that had COVID but died of pneumonia, not COVID. It’s like we learned nothing.
