If you intentionally start downloading malicious binaries and scripts, then no freaking magic AI-accelerated from the future anti-virus would protect you.

In Linux we don’t download any binaries (.exe) at all. Everything is from trustes repositories, which, btw, are validated using checksums and TLS certificates. Not perfect, but like 99.9% more secure than going to phishing site and downloading binary.

I prefer Reddit today. If Reddit suddenly disappears, I will simply switch to Lemmy full time. 💀

Piracy is service problem

On Mikrotik I have a script that runs every 30sec. If pi-hole not responding, router switches to public cloudflare dns records, otherwise to pi-hole IP.

This setup works like a charm.

P.S. I am using Blocky, but it’s almost the same as Pi-Hole.

Don’t forget to configure Mikrotik router to act as passthrough DNS server with cache (for performance) and configure DHCP server’s DNS to router’s IP.

Honestly I just love that Plasma closely resembles the Windows 10/11 UI. Not that I like Windows, but because I have to deal with Windows from time to time.

Switching between Gnome UI and Windows 10/11 UI requires an effort to me. Switching betweek Plasma and Windows - almost no difference.
