Why would you say that?
Why would you say that?
I have left some older systems on for extended periods a few times because I was either somewhere I couldn’t save and didn’t want to lose a bunch of progress, or games that didn’t have save capabilities and I had to stop playing for some reason. Other than that, they always were and still do get turned off.
I watched his video doing a walkthrough of the damage yesterday. It’s really sad. Not just his collection of all this stuff that he is so passionate about, but his whole house. So much damage caused by nature. I hope he’s able to get things back to semi-normal soon.
That’s a really good point. Software emulation is fine for most people, but Analogue stuff is going to be as close to the original as possible plus having all those modern things that we expect now. I haven’t emulated N64 stuff very much so maybe there’s more complications than I was thinking.
I believe it’s probably slightly more for a used N64 in good condition, but your point is valid. I actually bought an Analogue Pocket. It’s a quality product, no question about it. I guess the appeal for that one for me is that you can get adapter to play whatever handheld cartridges in one system and the screen is way better quality than the original systems. An N64 though, I’m not as certain. These typically have an SD card slot so that you can run roms on them, but if you just want an emulation machine, there are far more cost effective options. I’d probably argue that the N64 model makes the least sense because the console was pretty reliable and didn’t have the read issues like the standard front loader NES.
I don’t believe Silent Hill 1 has endings based on number of saves or anything like that. It’s about items found and actions taken. So I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not a particularly long game if you end up with a bad ending on your first playthrough. I know Silent Hill 2 has endings that are affected by like when you heal and maybe how you fight in the game.
In my experience, it’s a lot of music that I already know I like. I don’t feel like I get much given to me that I wasn’t already aware of. With Pandora, you create stations that are based off of a specific band or song. If you are listening to a Rage Against the Machine station, you’re going to definitely hear Rage Against the Machine and then stuff that is similar. What I do is put it on shuffle for a group of selected stations and that gives me what I want.
I’m in the 23% on the American side of the chart that uses Pandora. I don’t see any reason to switch. I’ve been working on it knowing my preferences for like 20 years now.
I’d personally not worry about the yellowing. I’d say clean it up to remove actual dirt and scuffs and don’t worry about the discoloration. Yellowed electronics are peak retro. Hook it up to an old yellowed CRT monitor.
Well I guess reading that is now a permanent memory for me.
I feed my cat 3 meals a day because he has a food routine like a person. So I feed him wet food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For some reason he is really crazy about dry food so I give him a little bit of dry food at night. This helps him to not starve to death while I’m sleeping.
People like to talk shit about Limp Bizkit, but you’re lying if you grew up during this period and say you didn’t rock out to these songs. If you grew up in the 90s, you 100% knew this song, Faith, and Rollin at minimum.
I remember being in like a GameStop or whatever the store was prior to that in my area. The tvs in the store were playing a teaser for the new Zelda game that was going to be coming out. I think this might have been like very early concept of windwaker before they went with the cartoon cell shaded style. I remember there was a sword fight between I think Link and Ganon. I remember thinking that games had peaked at that point. Of course we didn’t end up getting exactly that, but the memory remains.
I don’t know what is actually going on, but I’m interested in the Olympic level giant wedge of cheese hugging competition.
No experience. All bad experiences means more potential for either a lot of unchecked baggage, that person is the cause of the bad experiences, or both.
Yes, I see this constantly just scrolling through All. It’s pretty annoying, but I just assume I was never meant to see whatever is within that post.
John Hancock does. He doesn’t exclusively do Atari, but he does cover Atari stuff. https://youtube.com/@johnhancockretro?si=TvBLLiBYTsCTeTyC
Possibly. Ultimately there needs to be better communication between both of them.
Since she’s not normally like this, you really need to talk to her to figure out what exactly happened that set off this series of events.
Not the OP but I have read the book. It’s very unique and the story is told in some pretty strange ways. Parts are written backwards, in code, in the margin of the pages, etc. I think it’s a great experience and I’m glad to see it on that table. I’ve never read anything else like it.
