  • I used sed to replace my apt sources.list entries with Trixie…then ran sudo apt update, sudo apt dist-upgrade.

After one reboot my system was updated. Debian is basically that 80 year old tractor on the farm that still starts after sitting for 6 months with no effort. It just works. And that’s why I love it.

  • Honestly? Might not be a bad idea to consider buying a used Tesla after they tank in value.

    1. No money goes to Elon in that exchange, so you’re not supporting the fascist prick. They made their money off the first buyer.

    2. It’s environmentally friendly to buy a used vehicle, rather than a new one, as you extend it’s life and reduce it’s carbon footprint

    3. Since everybody is abandoning them, they’re cheaper than other options.

My only reservation is that I’d be driving around a Tesla still, so if I did something like this I’d have to de-brand the hell out of it somehow to make it appear as a generic “an car”.

  • They’re trolling and have no idea what the fuck they’re talking about. I’ve literally not had a bootloader failure in a decade from multiple Linux OS installs.

The only time I had an issue was when I was playing with a bleeding edge distro and it borked full disk encryption, but that was INTENTIONALLY bleeding edge and I knew the risks.
