I think I read “The Name of the Wind” in two long sittings, about 12 years ago.
Holy fuck, what a great book that was.
True, it is a bit wonky indeed when opening some chonky pdf files… I guess I just got familiar with the layout bc I was already accustomed with it on a jailbroken kindle.
Once you get the bells & whistles down, you can pretty much read anything cozily on any screen/orientation. Still, more of an e-reader app than a PDF viewer.
Anyway, thanks for the guide! Lots of apps I didn’t know about and I’ll be sure to try them all out :)
I honestly love KOReader for all things reading

Remember: big corpo trains you to depend on them since childhood in schools, which all use Office.
lmao I remember getting schooled by a math teacher when I tried to use libreoffice calc instead of excel on an assignment back in highschool
detail: all the school computers ran linux. fuck whoever didn’t have a pc with windows at home
she brought her windows laptop and attached it to the projector and expected everyone to have the assignment files in a format excel could read
problem is, at least going 12 years back, not all calc functions and/or param names translate directly to excel ones
so when she opened the file, which I made sure was one excel could read, there was a bunch of gibberish on some cells
when I told her it worked as intended on libreoffice, she said something along the lines of: you don’t go to church using the same clothes that you use when going to a nightclub
anyway, at least the school was trying not to depend on windows
Big(gest?) piracy forum
Mostly steam stuff, each game has its specific forum post with info on who cracked the latest versions of a game and whatnot, links to download methods and there’s also plenty of piracy related projects (like creamapi, goldberg, etc)
I’m not sure if you’re familiar with fitgirl-repacks, but most of her repack pages actually points to the cs.rin website for game updates

if it makes you feel any better, I did a couple semesters on math college plus a couple years on computer engineering and recently went to a therapist… When they asked me how old I was, I couldn’t calculate my age for the life of me
I stayed about 2 fucking minutes trying to calculate it… And in the end it wasn’t even the right age lmao
Wait until you find out 0,99… (repeating nines forever) equals 1
Around last year or the year before that they changed the placement of that button, never really given much thought about it tbf. Just a minor annoyance.
But yeah it was like in the same top row as the code/issues/pull-requests/wiki pages. Now you can only access it from the code page inside a lateral panel. Before that you could just jump to the releases from the wiki page, as an example.
Gentoo users starting to look like Baron Afanas
sorry for this lmao
if you were to beat up your grampa, you’d beat’em till their face showed what colour?
Was on Fedora for 3 yrs now and decided to distrohop to EndeavourOS like yesterday. Reason: jc141 releases were finnicky on Fedora; very very probably my fault lol.
Gotta say, I’m impressed with the system and makepkg is just so comfy to use wtf.
Might go back to Fedora eventually but EndeavourOS has been a smooth sailing so far. I think I’ll stay a while.
Fucking biblically accurate angels are everywhere these days
Okay wutelgi, have a good day
Yeah, if you use a relatively new device. Or you make sure your device is encrypted.
Big chunk of old android phones (pre 2016) came unencrypted by default. They could be encrypted if the user wished/knew how.
I remember having a motorola (moto g4 I think) that after flashing twrp it didn’t ever asked for my pin. It was officially supported by LineageOS for a long time too. Still, damn fine phone lol
What do you really think was going down there before the 3rd day?
