My experience is that the programmers from the first row very much still exist. My theory is that the number of programmers from the first row stayed the about same or even increased slightly. There are so many more so called “programmers” overall now, however, that in relation the first row programmers are much rarer now. Das Problem entsteht ja schon im Grundprinzip von GANs. Die eine Hälfte wird darauf trainiert echte und generierte Daten zu unterscheiden. Wenn aber in den Referenzdaten immer mehr “falsche”, also generierte Daten auftauchen, kann das Ganze schon vom Prinzip her nicht funktionieren.

Interessanter Weise wären, vorausgesetzt das wird auch konsequent umgesetzt, einer der Hauptprofiteure die KI-Anbieter selbst. Selbst-Kannibalismus, das heißt das “Vergiften” der Trainingsdaten durch selbst generierte Daten, ist längst ein riesiges Problem beim Training besserer Modelle, da ein immer größerer Teil der Datensätze aus dem Internet selbst KI generiert ist. Wären diese klar gekennzeichnet, wäre es ein leichtes die aus den Datensätzen zu filtern und auf “sauberen” Daten zu trainieren.

Und Lego ist der größte Reifenhersteller der Welt (nach Stückzahl). Vergleicht einfach Äpfel mit Birnen, weil (nach Stückzahl) der Markt für Currywurst viel größer ist als für Autos und für Spielzeugreifen viel größer als für “richtige” Reifen.

The traffic light coalition, or at least the remaining red-green part of it, is still in power. The new Bundestag is elected but has not constituted yet. Merz now tries to use the majorities of the parting Bundestag and government to secure funds for his time in office, but his proposal will have the next governments run into pretty much the same problems again.

Great summery, but I have one addition: The CDU tries to use a qualified majority that could have formed at any time before the election but will be gone after the new Bundestag constitutes. That also means that while they will likely lead the next government, right now they are still the opposition

Ich sehe die Verzerrung wo anders: die Linke ist klar gegen eine Schuldenbremse, das haben sie vor und auch jetzt nach der Wahl klar gesagt. Mit einer Abschaffung der Schuldenbremse wäre auch der Weg für mehr Bundeswehrausgaben mit einer einfachen Mehrheit, also auch ohne Stimmen der Linken, frei. Alternativ wäre es auch möglich die Notstandsklausel der Schuldenbremse zu ziehen.

Von daher ist es schlicht falsch zu sagen, dass die Linke das im Alleingang blockiert. Wir haben mehr Notstände als nur den Krieg in der Ukraine, insbesondere den massiven Investitionsstau in fast allen Bereichen der öffentlichen Infrastruktur. Es ist wichtig, dass auch für die anderen Probleme Geld ausgegeben werden kann und nicht nur selektiv für eins, aber da blockiert die Union. Und selbst das muss man eigentlich differenzierter sehen, denn auf insbesondere auf Landesebene sprechen sich immer mehr Teile der CDU gegen die Schuldenbremse bzw. für eine Reformation dieser aus.

To be fair, Germany is still far better off than the US or some other European countries. In the national election that just happened, the far right party won about 20% of the votes and the (traditionally) centre-right party won while moving further to the right. That said they’re still about as far right as the Democrats in the US.

It’s just that Germans are on alert about the rise of fascism and are raising the alarm bells now, before the fascist actually take over control.
