Own a '22 Bolt EUV. Been a phenomenal car for our needs, e.g. daily commute, grocery runs, weekend family trips w/ the dog, etc. Hope more car companies continue to offer smaller, efficient vehicles instead of focusing solely on large trucks and SUVs.
Same, the physical camera button and 3.5mm headphone jack on the Xperia are awesome
Haven’t had this particular brand, but I’ve made vegan musubi before with another. Turned out great and tbh I couldn’t tell the difference. The only downside was the price difference.
That’s awesome. Almost looks like fan art, but IMO has more charm than CGI
Love retro sedans, hope some of the themes make it to market. Hyundai has been crushing it with design, IMO the Ioniqs are the best futuristic looking cars without being too out there. The N Vision 74 is a nostalgia fans dream.
Stoked. I missed playing MGS3 when it first came out and am glad to hear this remake is exactly like the original because I hear it was arguably the best in the series.
Guessing it’s the Ranger Lightning instead of the Maverick EV. Personally I’d prefer the compact truck with bed capacity for 4x8 ft sheet goods.
Their designs are innovative and I hope they can execute on them because I think EVs are better when they don’t just try to be like traditional ICE vehicles but with electric propulsion.
I think Canoo had some concerns about viability and needed to figure out manufacturing at scale. If giant companies like GMC and Ford are having trouble with adoption, startups like Canoo are in for even tougher sledding. Personally, I’m rooting for all of them though.
I thought GM reversed course and said they would revive the Bolt brand. Though their EV strategy seems to be changing constantly these days.

Same. Think they’re pretty comfortable actually. Ours has become the main family vehicle and it’s great all around, no complaints.
That’s refreshing to see in a world of ever increasing enshittification. Wish more companies move in this direction.
Physical buttons are a must-have for me. Our Bolt EUV has them and I can reach for them without taking my eyes off the road and having to click through submenus to find what I need. Also love having the audio controls as paddles so I don’t have to take my hands off the wheel.
Touchscreens are a cost cutting measure, not a better user experience IMO.
Somewhat related PSA. I used to have an unscreened window in my home office and started noticing birds would fly into it on occasion. Found out it’s actually pretty common and can be fatal to the unwitting bird, so I put some post-it notes on the window to help them see/avoid it. There are ready-made products for this exact purpose as well. Both seem to do the job and cut down on collisions.
That’s tough, wish him luck. I remember reading David Foster Wallace’s essay in A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again about Lynch filming Lost Highway and that he was an avid smoker of American Spirit.
As a bonus, King’s Canyon is also adjacent to Sequoia National Park, which is equally stunning and home to the largest single stem tree, the General Sherman giant Sequoia.
Same. Got a Bolt EUV and it’s easily the nicest car we’ve owned. Can’t see ourselves ever going back to an ICE vehicle. No stopping for gas, no oil changes or smog checks, and nearly free charging with solar…whole experience has been amazing.
Just like horse and buggy makers doubling down when the model T was introduced
Excited for this! Such an awesome channel, each one of their videos is super well done. Learned a ton about things I never even noticed. Especially liked the Satoshi Kon and David Fincher ones
Vimium. Allows you to use your keyboard to navigate instead of needing to always reach for the mouse.
