“Pay no attention to the next console behind the curtain! Buy our stuff!”
Maybe it’s just me, but I think entities that deliberately spread and use malware should be punished and held accountable. Too bad these entities help write the laws.
Do you have pci-e slots?
I had to decide between a M.2 enclosure and a PCIe card. Since I plan to build a new system (with more M.2 slots) I will have more slots in the future. And maybe I will not like the M.2 enclosure and return it. wink
Then you’d better install it from scratch and have a clean, shiny and new system.
You know how it is, I just got my system right. Of course lots of settings can just be duplicated, but I would prefer not to set up some systemd services, cron jobs, etc. again.
I love that I just download the app from the dedicated place, no pointless web surfing for the latest versions.
IMO this is a huge thing, Linux actually does a lot better than Windows. I know the Windows Store exists, but it is lacking in lots of ways.
That’s encouraging, 3ven though these models are out of my price range.
I’m planning to build a new system pretty soon. With Intel 13 an 14th Gen woes, AMD CPU releases and upcoming (Septmber) AM5 Motherboards, my planning is in constant flux.
The Ryzen 9000 series is releasing on the 15th. The 9600X might also be worth a look for $279 (according to AMD).
Edit: scratch that. The first reviews are out and it doesn’t look good for the new CPUs
The components are well balanced. You might want to take a look at PSU Cultists Tier List.
Maybe take a look at the Thermalright (Peerless) Assassin CPU Coolers. They are testing well and are very affordable.
Lastly, you should make sure your mainboard has everything you need (M.2 slots, RAM slots, …). Upgrading a mainboard is not that much money.
I tried ProtonVPN and got a refund, because their Linux implementation is lacking
Didn’t he petition the French President for citizenship with the promise to compete for them?
Desperate people are being denied such privilege, despite living in the country. Kind of a dick move.
Somewhat related.
I’m from Europe and was a big NBA fan as a kid (who wasn’t in the Jordan era, am I right?). I recently got back into it.
One aspect that really surprised me about the NBA was the fact that owners were the first who received trophies (conference final and final winners). Most sports I grew up with would award the coach or team captain first. I understand the structure of the NBA can’t work without rich owners, but why do we need to reward them over the people who actually contributed on and around the court?
The thought of watching a horrible person like Bezos push a trophy into the air is upsetting to me.
Not participating in a disinformation war reminds me of the hesitation to allow Ukraine to strike Russian territory with the supplied weapons. What incentive does thr other side have to stop?
I liked him on the Knicks. Great effort and skill. I hope he can show the same in OKC and get lits if playing time.
I’m not that knowledgeable when it comes to salary cap and contracts and was wondering this exact thing. At what point is having a potential winning team more important than a few million for someone who is possibly a billionaire by now. Apparently Lebron couldn’t just play for a couple of million and get a superstar teammate instead. Good to know.
Repeat after me “Fines need to be tied to global revenue”. It has to hurt, if you want companies to stop.
The Villanova 4 are complete!
I think it’s hilarious that western leaders are worried about provoking Russia by providing Ukraine with weaponry that can be used in Russian territory.
Russia is at war with us. It’s not tanks, fighter jets and battleships. It’s cyber warfare, disinfomation campaigns, bribing of right wing politicians and poisonings. Just because nobody wants to call it a war, doesn’t make it go away.
Overall a good list.
Minor nitpicks like healthy Embiid should be in 1A for me and the gap between Tatum and Brown being too big. As a Knicks fan I like Brunson so high. I hope he can confirm that evaluation next season.
Then there is KD. His skill is unquestionable, but if we speak of value, he isn’t 1B for me. IMO he has become a poison pill since Brooklyn.
Teams change up their whole structure and trade away the kitchen sink to get him. What do they get? A strong team on paper that doesn’t produce results.
When the going gets tough he requests a trade. The team is left with a roster built around him and few to no draft picks.
Why does nobody ask the important question?
Will the players be required to be on his podcast when asked?
I actually asked in the TrueNAS forum about this idea. According to some knowledgeable users this might work. For anyone interested, details here. The next major release (planned for end of October), should make this easier.
