I’ve been considering a switch since my instance has a lot of issues with overloading. I like that yours doesn’t censor words. Does lemm.ee have issues with too many people joining and overloading the server?

We have a similar one here in the US. People think if you go outside when it’s too cold, you’ll get sick.

Edit: looks like the curse filter Broke that link. Just google “mtg called Biebert a little” and you’ll find it.

They’re pretty much baofengs with much better filtering, so you don’t get front end overloading which can be frustrating.

They are fine for starting out with, but you’ll probably want to upgrade soon. There are better radios for around $75 if you can afford it.

I put on ska on easy days sometimes. Today I listened to Supernothing by Streetlight Manifesto like 3 times.

It’s near enough the big city that I can go do fun things when I want, but it’s quiet here and not a lot of traffic.

That’s already happening here in AskLemmy. 90% of the posts are support questions, and there’s a sticky and a sidebar rule specifically banning those.
