please don’t
please don’t
obviously, because absolutely nobody buys the equivalent products already sold by google and amazon
the play services are not installed by default*
just so everyone is aware grapheneos only support’s pixels because it is specifically designed for taking advantage of the hardware security features found in google’s tensor and titan chips. and thus installing it on another phone would kinda miss the point (and vastly increase the scope of the project)
google is also basically the best company when it comes to phones for custom roms, as they provide stock images, a simple bootloader unlocking process (that doesn’t void your warranty as far as i can tell), and generally the aosp and software support that comes from being the phone of the developer of android.
it will probably run kaios, so yes
My point is basically that matrix/element is arguable the much more ethical chat solution because of its openess still with a focus on security.
signal protocol is basically the opposite, open source but the company is hostile to 3rd party client development
I’m curious why you want an intel cpu over an amd one
Well yes obviously but it does serve a purpose as a maintained fork, that’s why I included that. I expect a normal fork will be made soon because of this news.
The readme states:
“This repo also serves as an updated version of the original neofetch since the upstream dylanaraps/neofetch doesn’t seem to be maintained anymore (as of Oct 27, 2023, the original repo hasn’t merged a pull request for almost 2 years). If you only want to use the updated neofetch without pride flags, you can use the neofetch script from this repo. To prevent command name conflict, I call it neowofetch :)”
You realize how massive of a marketing pull both of those are right, the 1000 dollar wheels were like 20% why people didn’t forget the mac pro 2 days after it was announced.
It just depends if it’s something people need
dyson is in every sense the apple of vacuums lol
Obsidian is not open source.
use a “gcam port”
chromebook’s are incredibly easy to manage from an I.T. perspective, and they are cheap to replace and repair. that’s why they are popular
I think watching apple’s promotional videos will explain a lot of your concerns better.
They’ve already promoted the idea of connecting a dualsense controller for playing games.
GrapheneOS is specifically designed for hardware with certain hardware security features, as in the lead developer will not support anything that doesn’t have these. Leading it to only really being available for Pixels (but some niche company is supposed to be getting an official grapheneos version soom i believe)
Lineageos is the “runs on anything” rom.
Recent iphone models have “easily” removable back glass, and it’s actually the main entrypoint for replacing the battery, lowering costs due lower risk of a broken screen (see new google pixels with screens that almost always break on removal)
After this, apple also lowered the cost of most repairs, including on models that don’t get the new replaceable back. the non applecare cost for a battery replacement ranges from 80-100 dollars roughly. which is comparable to the cost of a replacement with even a generic battery from a 3rd party shop.
