We don’t need leaks to know that. Just look at the Israelis deliberately stopping aid and food trucks going into Gaza. It’s not just Bibi. Most of the Israelis seem very okay with this, and some even participate into blocking food and aid. So, no surprise there.
EDIT: Oh and let’s not forget the Israelis that are organizing BBQs on the side of the border. I’m sure it’s all a misunderstanding.

There’s a song about this phenomenon in Québecois French called Dégénération, from Mes Aïeux.
It starts with your great great grand father clearing the land, your great grand father plowing the land, your grand father making a profit out of it, your father selling it to be a white collar, and you, living in a one room apartment, owing debts to corporations.
The lyrics are pretty conservative and portray a rosy past, but it goes with the traditional style and the fact the band’s name means “my ancestors”. This being said, the song is still pretty spot on about this phenomenon. Here’s a link to the translated lyrics, and the song.

But they have local beef, local potatoes, local millionaires owning the restaurants, so it’s totally not American. Even the workers are locals!
It’s like Frito-Lay adding “Made in Canada” on their bags. So many American companies are now suddenly so proud to make their stuff locally, in <insert country name here>.
It would get old fast because I don’t drive a car and would turn crazy in such a neighbourhood.
Can I ask how you edit bike paths on Google maps? All I’ve ever been able to do is fill reports (the feedback system) that seems to be ignored. Everything I find about this says to use the feedback system. But I’ve done it a few times and it worked for something about a road, many years ago, but I tried it a few times again for bike paths and nothing was corrected.
You’re in luck I guess. Google maps here in Montreal is pretty bad with knowing protected bike lanes and safe routes. It will often send you in a car sewer when there is a perfectly safe route two streets over.
To me, Google maps has outdated data for cycling. It’s confused by contraflow lanes. It also often shows pedestrian paths as cycling paths. And it doesn’t have all the paths and even if you write to them to correct a path, they will not.
I still use Google maps because of how easy it is for turn by turn amd I didn’t find anything to replace it yet. But I have to inspect the route and make changes on the fly because Google doesn’t know about modal filters and contraflow lanes.
I use OSM a lot for planning routes, decide where to pass, and then I set Google Maps and fight with it. But I didn’t find anything satisfying yet for turn by turn. I’m on the the verge of making my itineraries in GPX form.
Googke Maps in my city and region sucks so much for bikes. But I look at its suggestions, ignore them when I know a safer route, and follow them if I didn’t plan a route and need to get from A to B.
Just not Bell anymore. I’ve tried enough to know how it will turn out and there’s no need to try again.
Plus, I really hate the fact that they send people knocking on my door, or wait for me and my neighbours by the elevator. As despicable as the others are, they are not doing this shit.

Bell Canada. They have salespeople doing door to door. They also “partner” with landlords to setup little kiosks with salespeople in the hall of big buildings. Like, you’re getting home, pass the RFID lock for tenants only, then there is a Bell representative waiting for you next to the elevator.
But with Bell it’s not just their marketing. Once they sell you something they change the terms and/or charge you a different amount than what was agreed.
If you discuss this with one of their salesperson, they will claim that Bell has changed and promise everything will be fine this time if you take a new contract with them. But spoiler, they don’t change and are always just more aggressive with their marketing.
Sometimes I feel a bit bad for the salespersons because they are often immigrants or young people that have not been fooled by Bell yet. They are enthusiastic but end up getting told to fuck off by people that have experience with Bell. I’m usually polite but very firm with them.
EDIT: Same with Hello Fresh. I have never used them but since some salesperson knocked on my door to try to sell me their services, I will make sure to never buy anything from them.
At some point I was trying to coordinate a situation with someone from our client using the Teams of my organization. It worked for a while before being blocked by Teams, because we were in a different organization.
I’m sure it was a configuration issue, but I am not an admin for MS shit, had hundreds of calls, needed to communicate with my clients, and was blocked by that crap.
I may have swore a bit.
My previous job was tech support for multiple companies. One of our clients was using Salesforce. Another client used Jira.
A handful of clients were using their own Teams to which I had to connect or run using Citrix and Pulse Secure/Ivanti. Sometimes I had to juggle between three or four Teams.
I’m so glad I quit. I can only hope my next employer won’t use Teams, but I won’t hold my breath.
But it was maybe a few months old at best. Maybe it had a defective battery from the start but I contacted Xiaomi and I’ve been told it was “normal” in “winter”. Then when I looked online for this issue with Xiaomi phones, the people on the forums said it was “normal”, and that I expected too much.
In the end it was probably a defective battery. I couldn’t believe that they were selling millions of these and that people always just kept them warm all the time. Like, they have a proper winter too in some parts of China, and I can’t imagine millions of people having their phone dying on them as soon as we get into sweater weather.
But obviously this left a bad taste in my mouth. This and having to ask permission to root my phone.
I decided not to buy another Xiaomi phone when the one I previously had would turn off when it was a bit mildly cool outside.
Like, I would take it out of my pocket to look at bus schedules but it would turn off after a few seconds of being exposed to 5°C, saying the battery was dead. Another time I had it attached to my bike handlebar and it kept turning off because apparently 13°C with the wind was also too chilly. Every time that fucking Xiaomi phone was feeling a bit chill, the battery would just die. And not even in freezing temps!
I looked online and everone of the fanboys on the forums kept saying that this is normal, battery performance degrades in winter, that iPhones do the same, and apparently all other phones do the same. In short, I had unreasonable expectations.
Yet, all my other phones’ batteries didn’t die within seconds of taking them out of my pocket, even in winter.
So, I don’t have to bother with their names anymore.
I was using E16 years ago and liked it but eventually switched to Gnome (2, I think), after waiting for E17 for too long.
What made me quit was the wait. All the other DEs at the time were releasing new versions frequently but Enlightenment took forever.
I was working as a level 1 tech for a consulting company. I had to take calls and monitor the systems.
We had a ticketing system in place where we received alerts and various alarms in there. But because some of my coworkers didn’t do anything with these and some systems (and clients) suffered from this, people in management thought it would be a marvelous idea to have those alerts and alarms make a notification in Teams.
So when some random location lost internet for a few minutes, we sometimes had hundreds of Teams notifications.
I quit last month. I couldn’t take it any longer.

I’m a native French speaker that learned English in school, and we had to get used to words spelt the same but with a different pronunciation and sometimes a slightly different meaning.

I’m not a cable expert by any means and can’t answer all the questions, but I can tell you that the protocol used by cable is called DOSCIS. So it might guide you into some of those answers.
And the coax cable itself doesn’t go very far now because it’s connected to a fiber network somewhere in your neighbourhood.
A bit ironic given the fact that they want to push everyone on the cloud and run Office apps in a browser. Or is this just corporate?
I’ve been doing tech support for a few corporations and they were literally removing the local applications like Word, Excel and Outlook to force users to use the web versions because it was costing them less money for licensing.
