These things are already available. I can Airplay to my Roku tv or Xbox. I can get notifications from any iOS or web app.
How are these not already open to third parties?

There are the probiotic sodas like Poppi that have sugar but not a lot. They are expensive though. What worked for me is carbonated water with a touch of flavoring. Either homemade with some fruit juice added, or store brand, or Lacroix.

You can reset your Roku tv and simply not connect it to the internet. It will still work as a dumb tv.

This is true. But we pay for that someone to deal with it. Where I live it can be recycled, composted, or burned for electricity. Landfills are the last resort.
