Looking to build on a budget right now. Basically I would dismantle my belt printer to build this and it’s a core xy so I have all the parts including the hot end. I hear you on the core xy, it has its disadvantages, but it makes a clean, easy to make machine. What’s not clean is the Z axis and I agree with you on the screws. I would love a cleaner simpler way of doing z, thats why I am entertaining the idea of a core XZ belt slinger. It does split all the motion up nicely.
I design my own printers and like the challenge. Vorons are expensive and have a ton of parts. I like unique stuff. Ive made my own delta printer and conveyor belt printer. The limitations of those leave me wanting a more traditional style.
I dont like large vehicles either and the trend. But $27k is still not that high, inflation just makes it seem that way. A new RAV4 is cheaper than they were in the 90s despite being s bigger and more premium now.
27k today is the equivalent to $13500 in 1996. I’m guessing the new GTI will be a lot nicer than what you got back then, thats the price of a base Cavalier.
Any car that you can’t turn off the internal noises is an instant no buy for me. Stupid
27,000 would be among the cheapest new cars available. We’ve come a long way from when EVs cost more than ICE models.

Looks like a solid choice. I like the matte plastic back and wireless charging. This is a good recommendation for a mid price phone, although personally I am not a fan of Pixels barebones android.

2x2 is not a structural type of lumber. Houses use 2X4 or 2X6 for structure.
Samsung went S9-S10-S20. Note changed to S Ultra. Their mid range is AXX which isn’t intuitive for the average person. Plus the intermittent FE models. Apple has made the SE which isn’t obvious. They’ve changed their lineup too.
I’m not sure why this comes up in every Sony post. Their naming scheme is dirt simple and stable unlike other brands. 1 is flagship, 5 is their midrange and 10 is their low end. Mark number is generation.

Making a product made to discourage usage is always going to fail. Palm phone had everyone excited because we wanted a good small phone. Instead they made an intentionally bad small phone and wondered why no one wanted it.
This is just normal for any brand new model and not specific to EVs. Never buy a first year car.
