Whoops, I’m still somewhat inexperienced with Matrix. Either your invite wasn’t there earlier, or I just didn’t see it! >.<

only works for communities that are already subscribed from a piefed user, and I don’t believe the lemmy-federate bot works here
@rimu@piefed.social @iso@lemy.lol
What would it take to create a “piefederate” bot?

NCD = !noncredibledefense@sh.itjust.works, for those who are out of the loop.
The dev is still active, but busy at the moment.
I wonder if the dev has just gone back to Infinity full time.
If I recall correctly, the devs are different. Eternity is a fork of Infinity, but not by the original dev.

Thanks; added!

Yeah, haven’t had to remove too much so far. Mostly just a few off-topic or obvious spam posts. Then again, the communities I moderate aren’t that large.

it’s pretty much useless because most just leave it on “Undetermined”
Can’t mods remove “undetermined” from the list of options for a community, forcing posters to set the language when they post?

Pippin is the son of the Thrain
TIL Pippin and Thorin were brothers.

Thanks for the reply! Sounds good.
@MonkCanatella@sh.itjust.works @MonkCanatella@slrpnk.net, reminder to post or comment in !ahk@programming.dev with each of your accounts.

Seconded. I’ve been wanting this for some time now. I think it is the feature I miss most from Joey For Reddit.
I think it should be native.
It will be, per Nutomic last year:
Here is the relevant issue, but no one is working on it currently.
Two weeks ago, Nutomic added a commit which “fixes #3069”. Maybe this feature is coming soon?

Sidebar and rules look good! Daily active users are trending upwards.
You might want to consider posting on !newcommunities@lemmy.world (as an “under new management” post) and on !communitypromo@lemmy.ca. I’d recommend spacing out the posts by a few days to reach more people.
Also, any idea what happened to Bee? Sal added Bee as a mod, Bee added you and Bitswap as mods, but now Bee’s account and comments have vanished.

Any idea what happened to Bee? Their profile page and comments have vanished.

But how about just creating a new community on sh.itjust.works, blahaj.zone or pawb.social
Creating yet another community on any instance adds to the consolidation problem we are trying to solve. As for those specific instances, blahaj is LGBT-focused, pawb is furry-focused, and sh*t-just-works has a bit of an awkward name. Not that there is anything wrong with these, but for a general fox community, something like !fox@lemm.ee which already exists seems like it could be the smoothest transition.

!beetlejuicing@lemm.ee has been created.

not a fan of having it on .world because of it defeating decentralization, but its already kinda established
For completeness’ sake, I’ll also highlight:
Might want to avoid ML, but the dormant EE communities could be resurrected as a non-World alternative which is better-managed than SDF.

As you mentioned in the OP, Greyscale hasn’t been active for a couple years. Paging admin @SDF@lemmy.sdf.org.
While sdf.org are older than Lemmy and will likely be around for a long time, they are pretty hands-off regarding their Lemmy instance, and it could take a while to transfer mod duties of !foxnews@lemmy.sdf.org.
I moved from Eternity to Thunder, but in the past couple of days, I think Summit has eclipsed Thunder in terms of features which are useful to me.
