Between that, her work as a defense minister (costly contracts to contractors) and no improvements to the military, and what you said, I feel like at least I don’t hear as much or as bad things of her as president. Which alone is a low bar of course.
I don’t understand how this is possible after the German Defense Ministry ‘illegally’ wiped von der Leyen’s phone in 2019 when she was German minister, although she admitted mistakes, but denied responsibility in defence contract scandal as defence minister, didn’t disclose her ‘Pfizer texts’ as Commissioner during the pandemic.
We needed more democracy in the EU, more transparency imo.
